The problem

Phishing didn’t get harder to spot.
It got harder to believe.

A phishing email no longer looks like a phishing email. Generative AI produces pixel-perfect copies of the brands your staff trust, hosted on domains that did not exist thirty seconds ago. Filters trained on who sent it and what the URL looks like were built for the previous decade of attacks, and the attackers know it.

Traditional approaches to detecting phishing emails will become unviable by 2027 due to AI-powered polymorphic phishing content.

How it works

It looks at the page.
Not its reputation.

Every other layer in your stack asks “where does this link point?” and “what does the HTML contain?”. Attackers answered both years ago. cyberMATI asks the one question that cannot be faked: what does this page actually look like?

Patent pending · PCT/GB2024/051415 · published 05.12.2024

  1. 01

    Render

The destination is fetched and drawn exactly as a browser would draw it — layout, logo, typeface, colour, spacing. Single-use pages that live for minutes are no harder to see than ones that have been up for months.

  2. 02

    Compare

Every visual element is matched against a proprietary dataset of roughly 3,000 legitimate brand sites across 9 sectors. The strongest signs of deception are often in what the page looks like, not what the code says.

  3. 03

    Score

    A patent-pending model returns a single verdict in 107 ms. In independent testing: 99% accuracy and a 0.991 ROC-AUC across 1,112 brands.

  4. 04

    Block

Blocked before the first keystroke, not after the credentials leave. Vendor-neutral and cloud or on-premise: it slots into the secure email gateway, SWG or firewall you already own, or runs as a Chrome / Edge extension. No rip-and-replace.

See it in action

A link arrives.
cyberMATI sees it before you do.

From SMS, email, Slack, Teams, or a QR code — every link is fetched, rendered, and visually fingerprinted against 3,000 legitimate brands across 9 sectors. The verdict: 107 ms. 99% accuracy. Zero user interaction required.

Questions

The things security teams ask first.

If yours is not here, ask us directly! , we answer every one.

Does cyberMATI replace our secure email gateway?

No. It sits alongside the secure email gateway, cloud email security, secure web gateway or next-generation firewall you already run. Those tools judge a link by its URL or its HTML; cyberMATI adds the layer they are missing: what the page actually renders as . No rip-and-replace, no migration project.

What leaves our network?

Only what a browser would already send: the destination URL, and the page returned to it. No mailbox contents, no credentials, no employee identifiers. It runs as a vendor-neutral cloud service, or on-premise where policy requires it.

How accurate is it, and what happens on a false positive?

Across 1,112 brands the model scored 99% accuracy and 0.991 ROC-AUC at 107 ms latency. During a pilot nothing is enforced: you see the verdicts and the false positives against your own traffic before anything is switched on, and the model is tuned to your brands and sectors first.

What does a pilot actually involve?

Two weeks, no agents to roll out. We point cyberMATI at a sample of the links your people really receive and report what reached users, what your current stack missed, and what it would have blocked. You keep the findings either way.

Where does it run — and on which browsers?

Wherever the verdict is needed: a Chrome or Edge extension at the endpoint, or an API call from the gateway. Vendor-neutral, cloud or on-premise, so it fits the stack you have rather than the one you would have to buy.

Is the technology protected?

Yes. Patent-pending in the US and EU. Patent application PCT/GB2024/051415, published 5 December 2024, covering the visual detection method itself rather than a particular deployment.
